Sexual Harassment Awareness Essentials Course Released

Are you concerned about protecting your employees in line with the new duty under the Equality Act 2010, which requires employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of staff? Are you looking for a clear, accessible and engaging course that raises awareness of which behaviour crosses the line into harassment, and provides guidance on how to create a respectful workplace culture where everyone is safe from unwanted behaviour?

In this thirty-five-minute CPD-certified course, you’ll learn about what constitutes sexual harassment, how to recognise it, and how to address it. By the end of the course, your teams will have the knowledge to spot inappropriate behaviour, and be equipped with the skills to report it – and of course know how to behave appropriately in the workplace.

This has been a hot topic for our customers this year as they prepare to proactively deploy training on this very important subject. In light of the updated legislation, we’re super pleased our Learning Design team have created a new course on Sexual Harassment to help our customers ensure their learners have the knowledge they need. The demand for this course has been high already!Nimble Customer Success Team

Mental Health Essentials
In the first topic, Introduction, we take a close look at what sexual harassment is, the types of unwanted behaviour we may see at work, and how to tell when someone has crossed the line. This topic includes case studies and concrete examples to make sure it’s crystal clear for the learner exactly what constitutes sexual harassment.

After the introductory topic lays the groundwork, the rights and responsibilities topic sets out the consequences of sexual harassment at work for the employee affected and the wider organisation, alongside the legal duty of care that employers have towards their staff. It also provides practical advice for your teams so they know what to do if they experience or witness unwanted sexual behaviour.

The course ends with a short assessment that checks your understanding of the learning objectives covered.

If you’re a Nimble+ customer, this course is available to you free of charge as part of your annual licence. Simply contact your Customer Success Manager and ask for it to be added to your account.
