The Ninth Annual Nimble Awards Finalists are Announced!

The Nimble Awards are back for their ninth year, and we’re delighted to reveal the finalists who have earned a place on this year’s shortlist.

Every year, the Nimble Awards celebrate the organisations using digital learning to make a genuine difference. Whether it’s transforming workplace culture, improving business performance, supporting communities or helping to save lives, this year’s entries showcased the incredible impact that thoughtfully designed learning can have.

The quality of submissions was once again outstanding. Customers from a wide range of sectors shared inspiring stories of innovation, collaboration and measurable success, making this one of our most competitive years to date.

Our judging panel, made up of experts in learning design, digital learning and business, carefully reviewed every submission. They explored the challenges each organisation set out to solve, the creativity behind the learning design, and the tangible impact achieved for learners, organisations and the communities they serve.

Congratulations to everyone who entered this year’s awards. Your creativity, dedication and commitment to making learning engaging, meaningful and impactful have made selecting the finalists an incredibly difficult task.

After much discussion and careful deliberation, the finalists have now been selected across our three award categories:

  • Course of the Year
  • Positive Business Impact
  • Charity Champions

The winners will be announced during a special awards ceremony at Nimble Community Day on Thursday 17 September at Stonehouse Court Hotel, Gloucestershire.

Nimble Community Day is one of the highlights of our calendar, bringing together customers from across the UK to share ideas, celebrate achievements, discover new approaches to digital learning and connect with fellow learning professionals. We look forward to celebrating another fantastic year and recognising the organisations that continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible with elearning.

The 2026 Nimble Awards finalists in alphabetical order and their categories are:

Nimble Awards Course of the Year 2022

Course of the Year

This award will be presented to an organisation or individual who displays excellence in the design and delivery of an elearning course through Nimble.

Judges looked for a course that demonstrates sound instructional design principles, delivered in a creative or engaging way. They looked for evidence of working towards a project brief with key stakeholder engagement throughout, and a clear focus on learner experience. Evidence against success criteria was also considered by the judges.

Consortio Security: Martyn’s Law

Consortio Security is one of the UK’s fastest-growing and most forward-thinking security companies, dedicated to protecting people, property, information and organisational assets. Their course, Martyn’s Law, was named in memory of Martyn Hett, who lost his life in the 2017 Manchester Arena attack. The legislation aims to improve public safety by requiring organisations responsible for publicly accessible venues and events to consider the risk of terrorism and have appropriate plans and procedures in place.

Judges’ comments:
This course successfully translates the legislation into practical, role-specific guidance, covering protective security, emergency preparedness and effective incident response. Its operational relevance, consistent design and professional presentation create a learning experience that reflects the seriousness of the subject while helping learners develop the confidence to recognise potential threats, respond appropriately and contribute to creating safer public spaces. The clear structure, thorough coverage and practical focus successfully bridge the gap between legislation and everyday operational practice.

Judges’ comments:
Built around a clear and memorable theme, the course combines distinctive branding, engaging videos, interactive activities and real-world scenarios to help learners recognise and prevent common risks before they occur. The bright, accessible design and practical approach make a serious subject engaging without diminishing its importance, while reflecting the everyday pressures employees face in the workplace. Supported by measurable reductions in data breaches and excellent learner feedback, the project demonstrates how creative, behaviour-focused elearning can strengthen security awareness and inspire lasting organisational change.
