There are several conditions and circumstances that may result in an adult being classed as ‘at-risk’. This might be age, mental health, disability, substance misuse or learning difficulties to name a few. When an adult is no longer fully in control of their personal care, they can be at risk to certain types of abuse, so it is imperative that these at-risk adults are appropriately identified and safeguarded by responsible care practitioners.

Developed by Accredited CPD Providers and industry training specialists, Espirita Learning, this course builds on their Safeguarding Adults Level 2 course, and is aimed at those who work with, or who are likely to come into contact with, adults at risk. It provides practical instruction on how to identify different types of abuse and abusers, and the actions to be taken should abuse be suspected.
