For those looking for romance, there’s a new and exciting love story to be found at Learning Technologies: a blossoming relationship between high-street retailer Ann Summers and Nimble Elearning.
On 13 February, Theatre 5, 1:15 PM – 1:45 PM, the seminar: Ann Summers – a new approach: How colleagues self-selecting their learning introduced a self-driven learning culture which boosted engagement and their bottom line, will be jointly presented by Gayle Tong, Talent & Development Partner for Ann Summers and Ben Reed, Product Consultant at Nimble.
To coincide with their seminar the day before Valentine’s day, Ann Summers is giving away a thousand 15% in-store discount vouchers. They will be available on Nimble stand G50. Not only that, but throughout the event, Nimble will be giving away bottles of Prosecco and £10 Ann Summers gift vouchers if you’re spotted carrying one of Nimble’s handy bags.
With a retail management background, Gayle has been at Ann Summers for ten years where she has responsibility for all the Learning & Development across the business. Over this time, Gayle has created, designed and developed a wide variety of development solutions meeting their internal customer needs. Most recently, Gayle used Nimble to launch their elearning platform across the business, with an emphasis on maintaining a learning culture through a blended learning approach.
Ben is a passionate evangelist for modern learning within the workplace. Using his role as an NLP practitioner, plus twenty-five years of experience in consultancy and training sectors as diverse as financial services, manufacturing, energy, logistics, automotive and IT, Ben works with clients to understand their business goals and identify how Nimble can help achieve them.
A unique brand such as Ann Summers does bring its own challenges from a learning and development perspective, though Gayle and Ben aim to show how their joint venture has brought about success from which others can learn. Since 2015, Ann Summers used Nimble Elearning’s platform to design and build a strong L&D programme which now engages 1,500 learners in more than 100 self-built online courses (using Nimble Author), leading to a whopping 23,500 course completions (using Nimble LMS).
This seminar will show how, in 2018, Ann Summers took their learning to its next level. It’s a chance to find out how they:
- Grew the concept that ‘knowledge is power’, where Gayle and her team used a programme of training that solely focused on empowerment
- Introduced the innovative approach where, rather than ‘pushing’ learning onto their colleagues, employees were encouraged to self-select and take control of their learning directly
- Developed greater autonomy and responsibility so that learning was consistently well-received, and take-up was strong
- Saw results from their most successful programme to date, with 20% more voluntary completions and contributing to a 20% uplift in sales.
It’s a not-to-be-missed seminar that offers ideas and advice for anyone looking to introduce a successful digital learning programme into their organisation.
“Go along to Stand G50 and can find out for yourself how Nimble Elearning can become perfect partners for your organisation. It could prove to be your best Valentine’s Day yet,” points out Nimble Elearning’s Ben Reed.
