With online shopping putting pressure on the High Street, both Laura Ashley and Crew Clothing have decided to ‘fight fire with fire’ by investing in online training solutions to support their workforce. Each have a long-established and ever-growing presence throughout the streets of the UK making the co-ordination of training an increasing challenge. The adoption of elearning has enabled both brands to create, supply and track training material for their personnel much more quickly, simply and easily. However, within these core benefits each company have focused on different attributes of the Nimble product range to benefit them.
Administrative ease was key for Laura Ashley who have hundreds of stores located across the UK. Courses are built by a small, centralised training department and distributed nationwide across their branches. They have enabled the ‘Store Management’ functionality to ensure that branch leaders can be supplied courses from Head Office and then work autonomously with their teams. The Head Office select how much access they wish their branch managers to have and monitor all the activity from one central location.
For Crew Clothing, the ability to use Nimble Author to rapidly create their own professional and engaging courses whilst having access to the whole range of existing mandatory courses with Nimble’s course bundles has proved an important draw. Nimble Courses are a range of compliance training courses such as Health & Safety, GDPR and DSE Workstation Assessment, that are generally 30-40 minutes long. They are fully editable with Nimble Author and are often devised alongside experts in their respective fields and draw upon reference materials from industry-leading authorities.
Neil Hyde, Managing Director of Nimble states:
“We are happy to welcome these two retail heavy-weights to our ever-expanding Nimble Community. The Nimble product range is designed to benefit companies just like Laura Ashley and Crew Clothing and we are delighted to see it providing such benefit to them.”
