On Thursday 17 September 2026, we brought the Nimble community together once again for our favourite date in the calendar: our annual Nimble Community Day and Awards.
Customers joined us from across the UK at Stonehouse Court Hotel in Gloucestershire for a day dedicated to sharing ideas, learning from one another and making connections. It’s always a real pleasure to bring so many members of the Nimble community together in one place, and this year was no exception.
Before turning our attention to the Nimble Awards, we enjoyed a packed programme of sessions and workshops, including inspiring customer case studies from Laura Smith, HR Manager at Meningitis Now, and Wenda-Kate Randall, Head of Culture and Development and Natalie Aris, Head of Professional Training and Development at Starlight Children’s Foundation. Hearing directly from our customers about their experiences, challenges and successes is always one of the most valuable parts of the day.
Then, of course, it was time for the Nimble Awards! We got dressed in our finery and gathered to celebrate the finalists and reveal the winners across our three categories: Course of the Year, Positive Business Impact and Charity Champions.
We’d already introduced our finalists in each category earlier in the year in our article Announcing the 2026 Nimble Awards Finalists, but we had the chance to discover more about each shortlisted entry through a series of short videos. They offered a brilliant snapshot of the creativity, commitment and impact behind this year’s finalists and made choosing our winners no easy task.
And now for the bit you’ve been waiting for… here are your 2026 Nimble Awards winners!
Course of the Year
This award was presented to GreenThumb!
Green Thumb: Think, Check and Protect
GreenThumb is the UK’s leading lawn care provider, with more than 40 years of experience helping homeowners create healthier, greener outdoor spaces. Operating through a nationwide network of local specialists, the company combines expert knowledge, innovative treatments and outstanding customer service to deliver tailored lawn care solutions that keep gardens looking their best throughout the year.
Their Think, Check and Protect course was created to help colleagues better understand data protection and reduce the risk of data breaches through simple, everyday actions.
Judges’ comments:
“Built around a clear and memorable theme, the course combines engaging videos, interactive activities and real-world scenarios to help learners recognise and prevent common risks. Its bright, accessible design makes a serious subject engaging while strengthening security awareness and encouraging lasting behaviour change.”
Positive Business Impact
This award was presented to ECG (Emergency Gateway Care Ltd)!
Emergency Care Gateway Ltd (ECG)
ECG is an award-winning UK healthcare training provider with more than 20 years’ experience delivering high-quality clinical education to the NHS, community pharmacy and private healthcare sectors. Combining expert-led training with innovative digital learning, ECG equips healthcare professionals with the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver safe, consistent and effective patient care.
Judges’ comments:
“Working with Boots on Our Future Health, ECG standardised phlebotomy procedures across 161 locations using structured elearning, competency frameworks and clinical supervision. Supporting more than 6,300 participant bookings, the project strengthened research integrity, participant safety and clinical governance.”
Charity Champions
This award was presented to Meningitis Now!
Meningitis Now
Meningitis Now is the UK’s leading meningitis charity, created from the first meningitis patient group in the world, and the founder of the meningitis movement. Over their 40-year history, they have invested over £12.7m in early-stage research that has played a critical part in the introduction of five life-saving vaccines.
Judges’ comments:
“In response to a serious bacterial meningitis outbreak, Meningitis Now drew on their expertise to provide trusted, life-saving information when it was needed most and created a medically verified learning resource in just seven days, helping educate, reassure and protect students, educators and the wider community while leaving a lasting legacy.”
